Equality and Diversity

NHS National Services Scotland/SHSCEvents supports the principles of equality and diversity in the delivery of its goods and services in support of patient care in NHSScotland.

At SHSCEvents we:

• ensure all chosen venues meet access requirements for all our delegates
• have our own portable hearing loops which we take to every event, providing assistance for the hard of hearing in areas of the venue that do not have loop systems installed such as reception etc
• can provide access to software such as Jaws (version 10.0) if requested in advance
• can arrange remote participation of meetings via telephone/video conference
• can provide documents in alternative formats e.g. Braille, large print, alternate languages
• can arrange language support professionals to sign or lipspeak if required
• are pro-active in gathering delegates individual requirements providing assistance such as prayer and mothering rooms and special dietary requirements
• deal with sensitive topics and information in an appropriate and confidential manner
